RBI, Corrosion and AI: seminar results in Tashkent
Over four hours we discussed equipment reliability, the risk-based approach to maintenance and inspection planning, and the practical use of artificial intelligence in production. The discussion quickly went beyond the talks: participants asked about their own plants, source data, implementation timelines and pilot project requirements.
The seminar programme included the following talks:
- "Why the industry is leaving calendar-based maintenance" and "Where to start: a 12-month pilot" by Vladislav Vladimirov;
- "International practice: API 580 / 581" by Denis Vorotnikov;
- "What actually destroys the equipment" by Alik Groysman, DSc;
- "Artificial intelligence in integrity management" by Natalia Luzina, PhD, CEO of RBI Concept.
The programme closed with a panel discussion on data quality, staffing, regulatory requirements and the real barriers to implementing RBI.

The level of the questions and the depth of the discussion showed that Uzbekistan's plants already have a strong engineering base and a practical interest in the risk-based approach.
We thank all participants and speakers for a great conversation! We are ready to continue the dialogue and discuss applying RBI, corrosion management and AI tools to a specific unit at your plant.
