Successful completion of the RCM and RAM seminar
From December 3 to 6, 2024, specialists from Sibur-Kstovo participated in a four-day online seminar on "Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM). Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)". The event was attended by 8 employees from the production facility located in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region.
About the seminar
The seminar was dedicated to key aspects of asset management and reliability, as well as modern approaches to minimizing equipment failure risks. The main goal of the event was to enhance the professional level of specialists and implement best practices for optimizing production processes.
Main program components
Introductory part:
- general principles of asset management and their connection to reliability management;
- standards in asset management and reliability;
- fundamentals of probability theory, mathematical statistics, and reliability theory applicable to failure management.
Main focus on:
- fundamentals of RAM and RCM;
- FMEA and FMECA procedures;
- key steps of the RCM process: equipment selection, failure analysis, risk and criticality assessment, development of failure management strategies;
- discussion of RCM implementation challenges and solutions.
The practical part included analysis of an example using the RAM approach for selecting the optimal equipment redundancy option. Questions regarding the selection and application of asset management process performance indicators were also addressed.
Results and outcomes
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants completed final testing, successfully confirming their acquired knowledge. All specialists received certificates confirming their participation and successful completion of the training.
