Successfully completed classes for the course "Inspection using RBI/API 580 methodology"
The implementation of risk-based inspection in the oil refining industry provides measurable advantages in ensuring safety and economic feasibility.
PJSC "Sibur Holding" continuously strives for uninterrupted provision and reliable operation of equipment, actively developing an asset integrity management system and corrosion management.
In April 2022, specialists from LLC "SIBUR" and LLC "Tomskneftekhim" attended the first sessions of the training course "Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Process according to RBI/API 580 methodology" for engineers and inspectors in the oil refining industry.
The goal of this course was to provide technical supervision inspectors with modern knowledge and skills of risk-based inspection based on the methodology defined in the American standard API 580, as well as detailed presentation and understanding of qualitative and quantitative approaches of this type of inspection. Engineers learned how to use this knowledge for planning inspections and use the results as input data for equipment condition assessment.
Following the training, specialists successfully passed testing and were awarded certificates of completion. In June, a second group of specialists will undergo training.
The training is conducted by specialists from the Risk Academy of LLC "RBI Concept".
LLC "RBI Concept" - owner of the RBI Concept® trademark, offers services for implementing risk-based control methodologies for main technological equipment.
