Course "Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA / FMECA) Methods"
The Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) course will introduce you to one of the key tools for quality and risk management. You will learn how to systematically approach the identification of potential problems at the product or process design stage.
FMEA is a method that allows predicting possible failures in advance and assessing their impact on system operation, personnel safety, and the environment. It is applied in various industries: from mechanical engineering to IT and medical industry. Mastering FMEA will allow you to improve process reliability, reduce the number of defects, and effectively manage risks.

FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis is a systematic method for identifying potential failures in an object (equipment, process, software) and assessing their impact on the system, personnel, and environment.
FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis)
Main objectives:
- Prevention of failures at the design or operation stage.
- Risk reduction through early identification of weak points.
- Improvement of system reliability and safety.
Who this course is for
The course will be useful for:
- Chief project engineers
- Risk management managers
- Equipment design engineers
- Operations and maintenance managers and specialists
- Occupational health and safety specialists
What you will learn
After completing the course, you will be able to:
- Systematically identify possible failures at early stages of design or operation.
- Assess the probability, severity, and detectability of each risk.
- Develop measures to minimize negative consequences.
- Properly plan resources and focus on the most critical areas.
- Conduct comprehensive FMEA/FMECA analysis using standards and risk matrices.
