Our specialists will develop a LMMS standard implementation program, conduct training on the application of various LMMS tools, and provide consulting services to specialized professionals. The developed training programs can be individually tailored to the customer's objectives.
LMMS Course Objectives
- Formation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in implementing lean manufacturing as a management system at the enterprise.
- Obtaining comprehensive knowledge about the specifics of implementing the LMMS standard from the management level as a whole to each workplace.
- Developing skills for integrating Lean technologies at tactical, integrative and tactical management levels.
- Providing responsible persons with knowledge of basic requirements for LMMS implementation and necessary documentation.
- Studying international and domestic practices of implementing the lean manufacturing management standard and identifying typical implementation approach errors.
- Developing a mindset based on continuous improvement of enterprise managers and structural divisions.
Brief Course Description. Program
The lean manufacturing management system (LMMS) standard training course covers studying the fundamentals of Lean Production philosophy, basic principles of process management aimed at satisfying the requirements of key stakeholders such as consumers, shareholders, and investors.
LMMS standard training participants will familiarize themselves with lean manufacturing terminology, gain useful skills for implementing tools in enterprise activities, and form a comprehensive knowledge of tool interrelationships, which will help avoid major implementation errors encountered in the practice of both Russian and foreign companies. The course reflects best practices and many years of experience implementing Lean Production worldwide, and also complies with requirements formed in Russian Federation standards. Course participants will be able to develop development programs that facilitate the voluntary certification procedure according to the LMMS standard.
Day One
Topic 1. New approach to technical harmonization and standardization - resolution 85 / C 136/01 of the Council and decision 93/465/ EEC of the Council
- Scope of the Directive.
- Scope of the Directive for pressure equipment. What equipment is not covered by the Directive.
- Main groups of pressure equipment. Equipment categorization (tables). Two groups of working fluids.
Topic 2. Obligations of economic operators (manufacturer, authorized representative, importers, distributors)
- Identification. Cases where manufacturer obligations apply to importers and distributors.
- Classification of working media. Group 1 - dangerous.
Day Two
Topic 3. Basic methods and tools of lean manufacturing
Introduction and presentation for the working group History of development and formation of basic tools and methodology of Lean manufacturing. Study of such tools (theory and implementation practice) as:
- 5S (workplace organization);
- VSM (value stream mapping);
- TPM (total productive maintenance);
- OEE (overall equipment effectiveness);
- Poka-Yoke (error-proofing);
- SMED (single-minute exchange of die);
- FIFO (first in, first out flow management system);
- FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis).
- Building a Kanban system. Development of standard cards. Method application limitations. LMMS implementation when preparing production of a new product. Synchronized engineering. Visualization of new product development and launch process sequence.
- Value stream mapping. Development of process maps.
Topic 4. Preparation of standardized documentation
- Accounting for production volumes when calculating takt time.
- Analysis of current equipment operation.
- Development of work standards, standard operating cards, visual schemes of standardized operations, work instructions, capacity tables, operator loading diagrams.
- Training employees in work standards.
- Standards updating.
Day Three
Topic 5. LMMS standard and its correlation with modern management approaches
- Consideration of Lean approach in project management. Compatibility with Agile methodology.
- Correlation with theory of constraints and ensuring customer requirements satisfaction.
- Software requirements for building an effective management system based on Lean Production.
Topic 6. Preparation for LMMS standard audit
- Basic requirements for LMMS compliance assessment.
- Knockout questions.
- GOST R H 56404 compliance assessment.
- Assessment of organization's LMMS maturity.
- Identification of improvement areas.
- Internal audit system. Documentation support.
